The Teachers service Commission has instructed the sub county director to identify,nominate and examine carefully the center managers, supervisors and invigilators who will take part in the supervision of the forth coming national examination by next month.
Chief executive Nancy Macharia in circular sent to the sub-county directors informing them to start recruiting teachers who will be involved in the National examinations and deploy them as center managers, supervisors and invigilators in various examination centres. She says that ‘ In preparation for the administration of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations and the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, the Kenya National Examination Council would wish to have the details of the center manager, supervisors and invigilators who will be engaged in the activity.’
According to the circular, no center Manager or the supervisor would be deployed and only one invigilator will be in charge of the centers with less than 15 candidates
The KCPE is scheduled to start on March 22 to March 24 For the form four candidates,the rehearsal is scheduled to be on March 25 and the examination will be written from March 26 to April 21.
A total of 1,938,667 candidates are registered for the National examinations. While 1187517 are registered to sit for the KCPE examination 751150 are registered to sit for their KCSE examinations this year.
